I finished this blanket coat this week and sent her to her new home today. I love it so much I might need to make myself one too! 🌻

There’s something about taking a soft colorful fabric and using your hands to turn it into something beautiful to be worn.

I'm so grateful for this process! Every coat teaches me something new. Like...don't sew when I'm tired. 😂 Like let things be imperfect and still beautiful.
And most of all - follow what lights me up.

I’d just been listening to an episode of Soul Gum about wonder—about how we so often reserve childlike wonder for children. What happens when we let ourselves feel that too?

I showed my treasure to Grant, and he laughed and said, “You’re so excited—you seem like a little kid.”

I've had some moments the past couple days. The kind that make you feel uneasy. Where your inner critic gets loud and the temptation is to shrink and hide.

Old me? I’d have stayed in the “I can’t believe I did that” spiral for days.
This version? I leaned on my community for support. And I coached myself through it — and came out lighter.

Here’s the truth I keep learning (and teaching):
✨ You’re allowed to feel the sting without living in it.
✨ Curiosity moves you forward, self-punishment keeps you stuck.
✨ A clear plan beats shame every single time.

That’s what these 3 steps are about. This is the same process I used on myself this week, and the one I walk with my clients through.

Growth doesn’t happen in the highlight reel moments. It happens in the messy middle — if you’re willing to show up for yourself there.

Today was one of those raw, tricky days.
Started with journaling and a walk. Felt okay.
And then… boom. Energy tanked. Mood crashed. Everything felt heavy.

A hard conversation.
Words that stung. Doubt in the air.
And for a moment, I questioned everything.
My business. Myself.

But...I didn’t stay there.

I created. (recorded a reel, even if I didn’t feel “on”).
I cleared energy for a beautiful friend reclaiming her space from an old story. Complete with a gorgeous sage bundle, crystal singing bowl, tingshas.

I moved in a Yoga room full of heat and sweat and let my body wring it out.
A tear rolled down my cheek.
And somehow, I left lighter.

This is what healing looks like sometimes.
It’s messy. Real. Brave in quiet ways.
It’s letting the day be what it is, and still choosing to keep showing up.

And that is what Ignite HER is really about.

Not doing it alone.
Not pretending you have it all together.
But being in a space where you can be real.
Held. Seen. Reignited.

A couple days ago, I finally had some free time. Funny how I crave it—and then, when it arrives, I have no idea what to do with it. So I just lay there. Practically comatose, drooling on myself, until I can’t take it anymore. 🤤🤣

I fiiiinally asked myself...what teeny tiny spark is alive right now? "Sewing."
Creative energy has been sooo big for me this year! It's been a year of sewing and poetry...Sewitry? :)

So I sewed. 😉 I found a pattern that looked quick and easy and dug into my big ol’ clear Sterilite bin of fabrics (thank you forever to Deana Kasmi for passing it on—it feels like a treasure chest every time I open it). I pulled out this pretty teal IKEA duvet cover, which in a few hours transformed into this little tie top. 🤩

It’s not perfect, but more lessons learned, more skills built. Wish I'd made a size smaller (sizing can be so tricky!) but it's ok. The side ties are supposed to be bows, but I'm liking them hanging loose. 🤙

It turns out, boredom really is fertile ground for creation. 🍃

Creative energy has been sooo big for me this year! It's been a year of sewing and poetry...Sewitry? :)

So I sewed. 😉 I found a pattern that looked quick and easy and dug into my big ol’ clear Sterilite bin of fabrics (thank you forever to Deana Kasmi for passing it on—it feels like a treasure chest every time I open it). I pulled out this pretty teal IKEA duvet cover, which in a few hours transformed into this little tie top. 🤩

It’s not perfect, but more lessons learned, more skills built. Wish I'd made a size smaller (sizing can be so tricky!) but it's ok. The side ties are supposed to be bows, but I'm liking them hanging loose. 🤙

It turns out, boredom really is fertile ground for creation. 🍃

Dog on a leash
walking happily.
Kobe stops under a tree
to do his thing.

Like manna from above,
something starts raining on me.
Plink, plink.
I braced for the worst—
bird poop?!
no!

When I looked up,
my eyes danced with delight.
I saw BUDDY!
We thought he was gone—
little rascal
who takes our Blitz balls
and makes them Swiss cheese,
the one who makes us laugh
with his mischievous ways.

Smirking in the branches,
tail twitching with secret signals,
scampering up and down,
making eye contact and playful chatter.

He reminds me life is lighter
when I let myself play,
and that magic and messages
surround us every moment
of every day.

This life is my art.
The medium might shift—touch, fabric, words, energy—
but it’s all part of the same expression.

A double dose of body love + soul expression.

Last night, my body gave me a message I couldn’t ignore.
A bone-deep knowing. 'It’s time.'
Time to take exquisite care of this body—like the sacred temple it is.
Time to treat food, movement, rest, - and even what I wear as part of the healing.

So today, I honored the call in two ways:
1. With a luscious green smoothie made in pure devotion (even stopped at the market at 8 am to pick up some items to make it).
2. By finishing a dress I made. This thing was a BEAST. Way beyond my skill level. I had no business attempting this, AND - am so proud that I did. It's messy. It's imperfect. I made so many mistakes. But this dress holds a story. Of my learning. My growth. My resolve.

This is the beginning of a new body rhythm.

Slow. Sensual. Soul-led.
One sip. One stitch. One step at a time.

I stared out the window at the misty gray sky, listening to the soft rhythm of rain. No rushing. Just full presence with my body, my breath, stillness.

And the answer came quietly, but clearly:
Romantic.
A return to my word for the year.

I remembered -
Romance is a lens I choose to wear.
It’s how I choose to see the world.
It’s the way I notice softness, beauty, and nuance in the everyday.
It’s letting a drizzle of rain feel like poetry.
It’s finding devotion in the quiet, and magic in the mundane.
It's the way your candles and fireplace light the dark.
It's the way your pet snoozes peacefully on a rainy day.
The way the sky blushes at dusk.

Romance, for me, is presence.
It’s a way of being.
And it’s available—always—when we’re willing to see through that lens.

I found myself in the creative flow once again today—DIY fashion has my heart lately!

I had these two clothing pieces I didn’t love. The short overalls were a cute idea, but after wearing them a couple times, I realized they just don’t really suit me. And the dress? Never wore it—shows too much back for my current bod. 🤣

2023, we took a field trip to Belle Isle that was simply the worst. 🤣😬👀

I ran over a HUGE nail and got a flat tire on the way. I got lost - couldn't find Grant's class and looped around and around (since it's one way), eventually finding them but being super late to lunch. Later that night I was so in my feels I wanted to write about it. I remember writing the words "Maybe I'm just not a field trip mom." I remember this because before I could realize what was happening, Grant looked over my shoulder, read my words and said "What do you mean you're not a field trip mom?" I couldn't have felt worse.

Imagine my reaction when I heard we were going to Belle Isle again. 🤣 I was like dang I think I might have some trauma from the last time. Lol. But today I was reminded how perspective is everything! This wasn't going to be another field trip filled with mishaps. It was an opportunity to have a different experience. A corrective experience. And that we did.

I'm doing this "Dress Up Challenge" and I totally used styling to help me embody the energy I wanted to bring today! I wanted to be comfy and effortless. Soft and strong. Belle Isle would not get the best of me today. 🤣 I chose mauves and florals with contrasting army green and camo, finished with a gold hoop earring. It was actually really fun looking at my closet with fresh eyes and seeing what I could pair together that I normally wouldn't. I'm finding that taking just a liiiiitle more effort can totally change how you feel. And that makes you more magnetic. 🧲

I was daydreaming of making a skirt like this for weeks, but something wasn't quite right yet. The idea wasn't ready to be birthed. Until it was! I suddenly realized who it was for and I lit up - now it all made sense! This was for a very special little girl's 2nd birthday (HBD again Joey!). 🥰

This was pure joy. From the spark of an idea to the last stitch. Messy, wild, fun!

Not my typical read, but when I saw reviews that said things like "a message of kindness and love" and "heartwarming as hell," I knew this was exactly what I needed. I'm only about 1/4 of the way in but loving it so much!

This evening I stopped in a resale shop I'd been wanting to check out, and realized it was their last night in business.The sun was setting on what was once someone's dream, and the words that she humbly said were about letting God lead.

The sign out front made me smile, as I boycott retail oligopaly and try on a new style. More resale. More small businesses. More community. More creating.

With that being said, if anyone has any bedsheets or curtains they want to part with that would make cute clothes, I'd love them. I'm going Sound of Music on you guys. 🤣💃

I've only had my current business name for … a little over a year? I've heard so many things to not do in the world of entrepreneurship, one of them being "don't change too often." That literally feels like death to me. What if part of the reason I'm here is to offer people permission to change?! Also - part of what I do is to help women break free from rules they never agreed to. So why would I follow any rule that doesn't align with the fabric of my being? Know the rules like a pro so you can break them like an artist.

While I really do love the name Bedrock Body, and will probably use it for a future program name (maybe even my signature coaching program), something new settled in my soul that felt even juicier.

INHABIT Healing.

Inhabit: To be present in or occupy in any manner or form.

We live in a culture of detachment and disconnection, and I don't believe it's our natural state - it's been designed this way. The way to heal is through the body. To be FULLY IN the body, fully in the spaces we occupy.

At one time, I shied away from the word healer/healing, but I'm just gonna fully own it now because I know that's what I help people with, and it's what's needed at this time. I can't solve all the world's problems, but I can continue to do my work in my small corner of the world, and that's what I plan to do.

While Bedrock Body acknowledges that the body is the foundation for healing, Inhabit is not only about being present in your body, but allowing healing to be a way of life. With Inhabit, there's a sense that healing is part of who you are - it's not something outside of you to be chased. It's settling into yourself. Sinking in. Soaking in every drop. Living a life that is drip down your chin good and messy. One where ALL parts of you are welcome. It's coming home to your body. Remembering who you are and what it means to feel safe, whole, and FULLY ALIVE.

Romance is found in lost puppies and helping hands. In the moments we see a world where kindness is instinctual and we soften even if we must let our hearts break a little instead of look away.

The universe conspired to surprise me again today when I found the SWEETEST little puppy outside shaking and cold and scared. I was so grateful my neighbor stepped in to help and kept him safe and warm.

My heart swelled when she texted me that they planned to keep him until "when/if his owner is found." 🥰😍 This is love, and it's still all around if you look.

And the cherry on top today - my bestie delivered freshly baked chocolate caramel sea salt cookies to my door step! 🍪
